Fishing forecast (July-August):

Fish numbers are good! Please refer to the Utah Fishing Guidebook for specific harvest and fishing regulations for the Weber River. Flows on the river below Echo Reservoir will stay high until October when irrigation flows are cut. Try using lures and flies. Hoppers and other terrestrial patterns can be a good option along banks. Caddis, beetles and mayflies can be good dry flies as well. Good nymph patterns include sow bugs, pheasant tails, hare’s ears, and midge patterns. Streamers imitating sculpins or shiners can be great to throw during the summer months. Leech patterns in olive, brown, or black variations can also be good. Crankbaits and jigs can also be effective.
