CLACKAMAS RIVER: Winter/summer steelhead, spring Chinook
Winter steelhead fishing has been slow, but fish are still being caught throughout the system. Summer steelhead can now be found in the river and have been caught from the mouth all the way to Dog Cr. at the Hatchery. As an added bonus, some bright spring Chinook have been caught near the mouth and could also be found throughout the river.
The mouth of Eagle Creek is a popular and crowded location for targeting fish on the Clackamas. OSP keeps a close eye on this area and writes many citations for snagging and other fishing violations.
