Below the dam, fishing is good with nymph rigs and the occasional mayfly hatch.
Above Vallecito, fishing has been fishing on the ole Pineone day you may think there are no fish, the next its lights out! Expect plenty of traffic on this popular backpacking trail and make it an overnight or two to push further and escape the crowds. Watch for rains to bump flows.
