Happening Now: The north fork is still running high but clarity is improving. Watch the weather as heavy rains can cause the tributaries to blow out. Its still off color but we are able to fish below the confluence now. Sallies and PMD's are winding down but the hopper fishing has been picking up. Hopper Dropper has been crushing it on this section!

Most Productive: Dry dropper with hopper and nymphs as dropper. Nymphing with Stonefly patterns, mayfly nymphs and brighter flashy nymphs. Mayfly and Golden stones would be the best nymph combo. Dry Dropper with smaller hoppers and frenchies tight to the bank has been the most productive.

The rivers in the Gunnison Valley continue to drop but well have higher than normal water for a while. This should provide good water levels through summer and into fall. Fishing on the Gunnison River has kicked in with good bug activity, and the float trips have been productive. The Taylor River is seeing good hatches of summer mayflies throughout the canyon. The Green Drake and PMD hatches are in full swing, and weve got lots of stoneflies and caddis as well.
